House Description

 

The cottage is approached by a short lane, some 70 yards from the village road. Garden Cottage is situated in a terrace of four cottages, and enjoys a sunny, open location.

Through a stable style front door you enter the hall. Immediately to the left there is a sunny, pleasant sitting room with a sofa (double sofa-bed) and arm chairs. Logs and coal are provided in the winter for the small open fire. The house has the additional benefit of full central heating. There is a selection of books, local guides and games, together with a television with Freeview, DVD, video and stereo.                              

                                   

Opposite the sitting room is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and wash basin. Straight ahead of you, once you enter the hall, is the kitchen, with adjoining dining room, and windows overlooking the rear gardens. 

The kitchen is extensively equipped and includes an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Tumble-dryer facilities are available on request.   

                                         

The dining room which adjoins the kitchen is a light and airy room, with a pine dining table and six chairs.

From the hallway there are stairs to a small landing.

Bedroom one - country style with a standard double bed, pine furniture and beautiful views of village and the front garden.  

Bedroom two - twin 3 ft beds with views of the front garden and river.

Bathroom - newly refurbished bathroom with bath and shower over, WC, shaving point. Overlooks rear gardens to open fields and footpath.

Front Garden - long, private lawned area screened by shrubs and trees leading down to the small winterbourne stream and garden seat. Immediately in front of the house there is a small lawned area, and rockery border. 

Rear Garden - enclosed paved area and grass with gate leading to footpath. A barbeque, garden table and chairs are available.
